Six Weeks

Went to the gym Tuesday night and ran. Yep, you read that right. I ran. For the first time in 6 weeks.

It sucked.

Funny thing about not running for 6 weeks (and eating crap the entire time I might add). You pretty much lose any fitness you had. So I struggled through 2 miles, the entire time wondering, where is that girl that got up at 3:45 a.m. one morning to run 10 miles -- and enjoyed it?

She clearly wasn't at the gym with me on Tuesday night.

Back to the gym Friday night. 350-odd days until Chicago '09.

No joke. Thats how I felt after last years marathon when I did nothing for months. You'll get back into it, just take it slow.

Funny, I was just wondering if we had a date for Chicago '09 yet!

Even though it was hard, at least you did it and that definitely deserves some praise!
